Community News and Updates with Rob Nease

As of June 1, 2009, Commerce Bank/Harrisburg has changed its name to Metro Bank

According to a press release, very few things will change. Customers will still enjoy "7 days a week" banking, free checking, and convenient hours. However, later this year they will receive new debit cards and checks.

Though Commerce of Harrisburg enjoyed 24 successful years under the red-in-color "C" logo, their license expired from TD BANK and they were basically forced to change.

Account numbers and routing numbers will remain the same, according to a representative from Metro Bank.

The new website for Metro Bank is www.mymetrobank.com  The phone number is 1-888-937-0004.

I stopped at the Jonestown Road location on June 16, and it seemed as if the associates were taking longer to process transactions- possibly because of the new computer systems. Give them your patience and the big "M" will be just as great (if not better) than the big "C".

Metro Bank is offering a summertime promotion for the children in your family. If they read 10 books, they will receive $10 in their account. For details, stop by your local Metro Bank.
